Crystal Palace Local

Crystal Palace is steeped in History, its name originating from the infamous Crystal Palace used in the 1851 great exhibition in Hyde Park, previously Sydenham Hill before its unfortunate demise in 1936. Crystal Palace Park is home to Dinosaur Court, with the first Dinosaur sculptures in the World. The park around the old site of the Crystal Palace is now home to the National Sports Centre where many famous athletes ply their trade. Crystal Palace centre has become more chic along Westow Hill, where you can find many refurbished wine bars and restaurants giving a real cosmopolitan feel to the area.

Crystal Palace is also very well located for Central London with excellent transport links found at Crystal Palace Station, Gypsy Hill Station, Penge West Station, and Anerley Station, trains take you directly to Clapham junction, Victoria Station or London Bridge Station. Transport links in Crystal Palace have always been excellent but will be improved even further with the opening of the East London Line extension.
