I've been to the Torre a few times, only in the hope that the food gets better. But unfortunately everytime I am disappointed.
Believe me coming from a true Portuguese, the food is not that all! The only thing that I enjoyed was the pasteis de bacalhau (fish cakes).

One of the best run places in the Palace, like a little piece of Portugal in South East London. Arto and his family are really nice and always makes you welcome. The specials are great value if you have kids.
Try the Suckling Pig.

This is one of my favourite restaraunts in Crystal Palace. The menu is pretty heavily fish based but then you'd expect that from a Portugues restaurant.
The calamari, chips and salad on the menu is particularly good value for money and the staff are friendly and courteous. "R2" (the owner) - apologies R2 if you read this but I have no idea how to spell your name - even offered to show me how to cook with a cataplana.

A wonderful family run restaurant, Great atmosphere and good fun with a friendly service.
