P10806261As many of you will no doubt have noticed, the appearance of our largest local landmark is changing. The white 'cigarette' style cladding has been removed from the uppermost section of the Crystal Palace transmitter. It appears to be part of the ongoing works to prepare us for the digital changeover. If anyone has any more details about what is happening, please leave your comments below. These two engineers must have had the finest view of the south east imaginable!

What does this tower actually do? Radio, TV? and why can't I get a decent 3G signal in the palace? They must be able to add a wafer thin ariel for that surely? instead of putting mobile ariels on school roofs to radiate our kids! :-x
