There is at least one thing that unites the people of Crystal Palace, and that is the one way system. Everybody has an opinion.
Like it, or hate it, most would agree as a pedestrian on Church Road, you are not safe.
Petition now in, watch this space!
The Liberal Democrat candidate, Graham Axford, is now leading a petition to get the council to put a crossing in, which should at least go some way to make the road a bit safer.
Mr Axford said he knew feelings were high, but even he was surprised to get 300 signatures in 3 hours on a Saturday morning,

Since then, many more people have signed. There is now an online petition you can add your name to.
Please leave your votes and names below in the comments box.

:I don't live in CP (but down the hill in poor old run-down South Norwood.) But my grandson and his family and friends live in CP, so anything that makes them safer gets my vote. Good luck with the campaign. I like the website.
Not sure I'll be be voting Lib Dem, tho - too much bitchiness re other candidates, in recent years.

The whole area needs a coordinated traffic and parking approach across all boroughs.
I don't believe speed cameras are the answer - as Crystal Palace is armed to the teeth with them already. Bought in under the guise of CCTV for crime but being used to catch out visitors and locals for whom parking regulations are confusing and far too restrictive.
How about a some serious light syncing too at the top of Annerley HIll also?
Crossing on Church road has my vote. Well done Graham.
Good luck with it.
