Selhurst or Crystal Palace? That is the question. What are our thoughts regarding the proposed CPFC move to the National Sports Center (NSC) here at Crystal Palace. Developments are currently still in the balance but if Spurs get the Olympic stadium they, apparently, will regenerate the NSC, if West Ham United FC get it also there could be plans to see a redevelopment of our stadium and running tracks. This is another issue but still may have a serious impact on our community. Click image to enlarge.
But what about the Crystal Palace Football Club? Would it be better here situated in Crystal Palace, just a stone's throw from the station, or better to stay where it is at Selhurst Park? Would it ruin the park and it's wonderfull entrance via the station with hordes of visiting fans from the far corners of the UK or would it bring a much needed financial spring to the steps of our beloved top terraces?

Dunno about the Eagles I reckon they should be renamed the Cuckoos, as this latest proposal and some of it's supporters sound like they're from cloud cuckoo land
NB - you are pretty handy with 'cheap insults' yourself. I repeat - I can see why the pro camp are so ardent, if you can't see why the nay camp respond with equal passion then you need to gain some perspective.
As for hypocrisy, many people have fought against developments that they feel will negatively impact on the area they live in and have invested in. Some have won, some have lost, c'est la vie - it isn't hypocrisy, it's refusing not to have a say in life and things that are important to you.
The truth hurts so you reply with cheap insults, all I am trying to say is that the No brigade are firmly entrenched, the plans are at the earliest of stages, but they will refuse to listen. However, these people are more then happy to see and use other developments and improvements in London and beyond as it doesn't "affect" them. .......pure hypocrisy.
If at some stage, the planners and developers come up with concrete reasons for the plan to not proceed, I and other pro people will reluctantly accept the decision, but if the decision does get the green light , can you honestly see the No brigade simply accepting it and putting the placards away ......not a chance!!!!!
Good grief.... perhaps get a little perspective yourself before you throw all your toys out of the pram. I was initially quite interested in the proposal, but as the initial details and the consequent potential repercussions on the area emerged I came down on the 'no thank you' side due to the impact on the area I live in and love living in. I respect your being pro - even if I don't agree with you. Please respect the views of others - even if you don't agree.
And you do want it... so stuff everyone else?
Jon Joe- You must be a politician the way you dodged the question!!!!, Do you or do you not use modern development s /facilities everyday, that have affected others lives adversley? Of course you have, but you're a hypocryte . Open your eyes, this is 21st century London, a global super city, this part of SE London is crying out for regeneration!! but not in your eyes, no development in my part of it, sod everyone else and NOT IN MY BACKYARD.
Do you really think that it is " high and mighty" to object to the building of a 40K capacity stradium? You go on to mention a range of major developments and follow that up with anyone would be selfish not to want to live near a stadium/airport/motorway/Westfield....
I think it's more a case of views like yours being "high and mighty" saying how dare anyone object to CPFC we want to build a stadium in your park and "stuff everyone else"
