Would you like to write an article or story for the CPL? Become a citizen journalist?
Write about local issues, stories, events, art and literature, films & books, in fact you can pretty much write about anything, within reason. You become an instant local journalist. People can then view your wonderful work and, who knows, maybe even be inspired to write something themselves.
We'll even spell check it for you before it goes live.
How do I become a journalist for the CPL?
Easy, once you have 'Created an account or registered', you can then 'Submit an article'. We do cast an eye over the articles to make sure it's family friendly but then voila! you are published. How exciting is that?

What can I publish?
That's a good question. The CPL is effectively a magazine style tabloid for local issues. We want to encourage local writers, and such like, to tell the community something interesting. Here are a few do's and don'ts when submitting articles.
Do submit articles about:
- Local issues & groups
- Editorials on your business i.e. 'why you love being a gardener'
- Campaigns and updates
- Local history & people
- Your profession i.e. tricks of the trade
- Business guidance
- Biographies
- Short stories
- Special Offers i.e. 'Lunchtime Meal Deals 2 for 1'
- in fact anything you might find interesting yourself...
Don't submit articles about:
- Offensive or unsavory material, keep it family friendly
- Articles that may be degrading to local persons, services or businesses
Now, who's got something to say?

Simple. Once you login and go to 'Add an Article' you will see a small image button at the base of the text area. Here you can upload a picture to be included in the article.
See the support video if need be.
All articles are proofed before going live. This normally is completed within a couple of hours of normal office times.
It's live now and thanks for a great article.
I saved the article I created but don't seem to find anywhere. Where can I find my article?
thanks
Don't worry too much, if you can't find a place for your article, just choose what's the nearest category or even place it in uncategorised and we'll sort it when we receive it.
We don't want lots of empty categories so we'll create them as the articles come in. This means the site is more, let's say, organic.
